wine not?

Wine! You might have heard the rumor but we are here to tell you it is true. Draughtmen is making and selling our own wine called Star Pine Cellars. We’ve has this little plan in the works for quite a long time but now it has come to fruition!

You might ask yourself why a small craft beer making is blurring the lines between grapes and grains. In past years, there were wine drinkers, and beer drinkers. Santa Barbara has always had a wine following with many local wineries. Over the past 10 years breweries have sprung up. However, lines are being crossed, and so too are loyalties to any one beverage.

The answer is pretty simple. We adore wine and absolutely love beer. For us, we know sometimes we feel like having a beer but sometimes we want a good glass of wine. We know you can be both a wine and beer drinker. We have an appreciation for well-crafted beverages. Plus, we did it for you. The beer drinker who have that one or two friends or a spouse that they like to hang out with but who absolutely does not want a beer.  We get it.  We have included them in the circle.

More adventurous drinking is becoming the norm, breeding bi-curious libation lovers and producers alike. We think our approach to making small batch beverages is fluid. Our team brings the best of both worlds to customers, combining our expertise in wine, beer, specialty aged-beers and hopped teas at the very same doorstep. Hand crafted with a high attention to detail.

Star Pine Cellars is a new wine brand in partnership with Draughtsmen Wineworks but this isn't our first rodeo. Our team has been in, around, and about the wine world for quite a while, we've produced wines for the past fifteen years. But Star Pine Cellars (aka Draughtmen Wineworks) is about more than just making great wines. We aim to capture the experience of togetherness, the concept of savoring each moment, and the celebration of people and places you love. A passion project at its essence, Star Pine Cellars is an evolution from wine-making with family and friends, to sharing the love and joy of approachable, unpretentious wine with the local community.
